Oh God, I'm a Geek!!
Ok, so I've always known I was a geek. Ever since I was little and watched some of the most bizarre cartoons religiously. And turned a refridgerator box into a rocket ship. I had some amazing adventures in that ship... *sniff* now I'm getting all sentimental. Gonna have to dig out the picture my mom took of that. Such a beautiful memory. Went to the moon, Uranus (only because of the name, and yes that adventure was full of jokes about bodily functions as was popular at that age) ...
Geekhood has been good to me. I kick ass at Jeopardy. Random facts flow from me like candy from a pinata. Although if you smack me with a stick you better run. Speaking of pinatas, the best one EVER, was a massive death star pinata that once beaten from it flowed forth a cache of tiny plastic liquor bottles. I don't remember much of what happened afterwards. I'm assuming there are pictures out on the internet of that, but I can't remember where those are either. Hehe...
In fact, I've discovered convetions are nothing but excuses to dress up in silly costumes and drink copious amounts so that riding on a luggage cart with an ice bucket on your head is
considered acceptable behaviour. I have a private goal of becoming a SciFi TV personality so that when I go to a convention as a guest I can dress up as my own character and pretend to be a regular fan. I find that notion extremely amusing.
Now back to the geekhood topic. I am 22 years old, living in my parents' basement and currently working for Time Warner, I feel I should be concerned about this, but at my age I do not worry too much. I own an awesome car (2007 Dodge Calibur, you should check them out!), am getting my bacherlor's in Nursing, and may finish my first bachelors in Fasion and Merchandising, just because I can. Oh and since I've been home, the treadmill and I have come to an understanding. I walk on it, and it helps me lose 40 lbs. I have a goal of twenty more, but that being a little difficult right now. (Jogging with an ulcer tends to be a wee bit painful).
Ok, so the point of this post is.... ? I have no idea. I just typed the words. Meh.
For your enjoyment here is a photo of my car.
